Who Doesn't Love Bows??

Tonight I'm going to show you have to make a bow that can be used as a hair bow or a as a necklace. *I've already make 4 and I just might make more ;)

Start with a 6 by 4 1\2 in. piece of fabric. For this bow I used red wool.
Now fold in half and sew along top.

Next you want to make sure that the seem is in the middle of the back so that it doesn't show. Then to make it thicker I folded both sides so that it was half this size.

Time to stitch of those sides!

You don't have to, but to make it easier just quickly sew down the center of the bow and gather it.
Next cut a 1 1\2 by 4 in. piece of fabric. I did used the same fabric, but you could have a contrasting fabric for a fun change. : D

You're going to want to fold the sides so that they meet in the middle.

Then wrap it around the center, folding the end so it gives it a nice finished look.

Now take 2 large(largish) jump rings and sew them in the middle of the bow. Make sure that they are on the back.
You should end up with something that looks like this.

And you're DONE!

Here are some of the bows I made. I also made a white lace one, but it's in my mom's hair right now. ; )

If you want to wear it in your hair just slip a hair clip through the rings and you're ready to go!

Here's some ways that I styled my bows.

To wear it as a necklace, well, just slip the chain through the rings!
My "Posh" look....
"Bow ties are cool!"

And here's my whole outfit 'cause you obviously had to see it to get the full effect. : P

Have an awesome night!
